Your delivery arm in India

For overseas OEMs and system integrators with Indian sites to serve

30+ engineers, PAN IndiaUSD · SGD · JPY · INRNon-solicitation in writingMetro rail delivered twice

You have won work in India, or you have equipment installed here that needs supporting. What you do not have is an entity, a payroll, a spares holding and engineers who can be at a plant in Gujarat on Tuesday. We have been that arm twice on public metro infrastructure, for a Japanese principal and a Singaporean one. This is how the arrangement works.

How the arrangement works

Three parties and one line. Where that line sits is the whole conversation, and we would rather have it before pricing than after a dispute.

Not during the engagement, and not after it. Non-solicitation is in every partner agreement we sign.

What we take on

Six areas. Take all of them or take one — most partnerships start with a single site and grow into the rest.

01

Site survey and readiness

Before you commit to a delivery date, somebody has to stand in the room and measure it. We do that and send you photographs, dimensions and a list of what is not as the drawing says.

  • Measured survey with photographs
  • Power, containment and access checked
  • Risks reported before you quote
02

Installation and commissioning

Racks, cabling, power, network and systems installed to your design and commissioned against your test plan — not ours.

  • Work to your drawings and standards
  • Sequenced around the client’s operations
  • Commissioned against your acceptance tests
03

Systems integration on your behalf

Where your product has to talk to something already on site, we do the integration work and escalate to your engineers only when the answer is genuinely yours to give.

  • Interface and protocol work on site
  • Escalation path agreed in advance
  • Your engineers involved by exception
04

Logistics, customs and spares

Equipment landed, cleared, stored, insured and moved to site — including to locations where a courier will not go without a phone call.

  • Import clearance and documentation
  • Bonded or insured storage as required
  • Spares held in India, not shipped per call
05

Warranty and break-fix attendance

An SLA-backed engineer who can be at the client’s site, in person, without a visa application or a fourteen-hour flight.

  • Response times agreed per site tier
  • Attendance across tier-2 and tier-3 India
  • First-line resolution before escalation
06

Documentation and handover

As-built records, test results and handover packs produced in your format, in your template, under your name if that is how you present to your client.

  • Your document templates, not ours
  • Test and certification results supplied
  • White-labelled where you prefer

What we commit to in writing

Three things every overseas principal worries about, answered before you ask.

The terms we will sign

These are not aspirations. They go into the partner agreement, and we would expect you to hold us to them.

We will not approach your client

Not during the engagement and not after it. Non-solicitation is written into every partner agreement we sign. Your client relationship is the asset you are trusting us with, and we treat it that way.

Your IP stays yours

Drawings, designs, source, specifications and commercial terms are held in confidence, used only for the engagement, and returned or destroyed on request. We do not reuse your design on the next project.

We invoice in your currency

US dollars, Singapore dollars, Japanese yen or Indian rupees, whichever suits how you have structured the engagement and your client contract. That is settled before work begins.

We have done this twice, on public infrastructure

Both programmes are exactly the arrangement described above: an overseas principal holding the contract, and AppsTech delivering in India.

AHMEDABAD METRO RAIL

Delivered in India for an overseas principal

Nippon Signal Co., Ltd. · Seven years

Station-level systems and the Operations Control Centre, delivered working to a Japanese principal’s engineering and documentation standards throughout.

  • Solution design and technical planning
  • OEM selection and evaluation
  • Supply chain coordination
  • Station and OCC implementation
BANGALORE METRO

Delivered in India for an overseas principal

MSI Global Pte. Ltd. · Singapore

Automatic Fare Collection and the back office platforms behind it, delivered as the India execution partner for a Singaporean systems house — the model this page describes.

  • AFC systems delivery
  • Back office system integration
  • In-country execution for an overseas principal
  • Documentation to partner standards

Scope descriptions are given at a level agreed with the principals concerned. Detailed system information remains confidential to those programmes, as it would for yours.

How an engagement starts

Four stages. Nobody signs a national agreement before seeing one site done properly, and we would not ask you to.

1

Scope and boundary

We agree in writing what stays with you and what we take on, before anything is priced. Most partner relationships that go wrong were never scoped at this level.

2

Commercial and legal

Non-solicitation, confidentiality, IP handling, currency and liability settled in one agreement. We would rather have the awkward conversation now than in year two.

3

Pilot on one site

A single site delivered end to end so you can see how we work, what our documentation looks like and how we behave when something goes wrong.

4

Scale across India

Once the model is proven, the same team and the same standards extend to every site you have, with one point of contact throughout.

What you receive

The documentation is part of the arrangement, and it is issued in your format.

Scope and responsibility matrix agreed before pricing
Site survey reports with photographs and measurements
Test and commissioning results against your acceptance criteria
Spares holding plan and warranty response matrix
Partner agreement with non-solicitation and IP terms
Delivery plan sequenced around the client’s operations
As-built documentation in your template and your name
One named account contact for the life of the relationship

Questions partners ask us

Including the two nobody asks out loud until the second meeting.
